My best with my old suspension basically stock was 1.47 same tire. Now with the coil overs and this radial it just moves out.

how low are you guys setting these coils to? i have about an inch gap between my fender and the 275 45 17 tire. I have been hearing a clunking noise in the front end since the shock install.. i compressed the suspension to ride height with the wheel off an di can see that the shock becomes non-concentric inside of the spring. the spring is contacting the shock body.. anyone have this happen as well? im thinking the spring is bowing inward as the upper aluminum bushing should hold the spring concentric around the shock..

Sounds like you're missing the upper strut isolator. You can set them as low as you want. Here's what mine looked like after the initial install...

What kind of you settings are you guys running on the street? Still having trouble launching out of the hole.

What upper strut isolators? I have just that aluminum disc that holds the strut rod under the nut and slips inside the spring at the top. This should keep the strut perfectly concentric to the spring unless this is coming loose somehow.. This whole setup is under the factory bushing. Here are some pics i took during the install because i didnt think this could be right. I sent these to a friend who also installed these and said its exactly how they go..Weird setup imo..

That's how they go I think it's a little odd myself. But they work so that's all that matters. If your hearing a clunking just checked all your bolts. Play around with the shock settings a little also see what you like best

I've already checked everything. I tracked it down to the spring contacting the shock body when compressed to ride height. When i hit bumps, the spring hits against the shock body and you can see slight wear spots on the upper threads. This is definitely where the clunk is coming from, and if I have them set up correctly and my ride height is at a reasonable setting, this shouldn't be happening. I guess I will have to contact Viking..

They're interested as well haha. I'm still talking with them, just sent some detailed photos of the setup and where it is contacting. So far they have been very helpful even with the fact that I purchased them from a secondary supplier on ebay. I'll update this when they get back to me. Here are some pics / vids of the setup if anyone is interested:

Maybe you just got a bad spring? Is the isolator on top perfectly concentric as well? I'll have to check mine and see if thats happening.

Yeah both the top cup mount and the bottom mount for the spring look to be concentric. It looks like the spring is bowing in when compressed. When I jack it up and let the suspension hang the spring is perfectly straight and concentric about the shock, but when dropped the a arms on blocks to ride height it compressed and visually bows if you put a straight edge on it. Maybe I have bad springs or incorrect setup, but this shouldn't be happening with the settings I am at in my opinion.

What do you guys have for spring lengths? I have the 14" 350lb springs and Viking said they think those are too long. They suggested a 12" 450lb spring..

I got the 350# springs when I ordered from MWC. No problems with stock front suspension.

Talking Scale it....

I agree. The springs are short on rating, and too long.
Too light of a spring, combined w/ the excessive length = coil compression, [reduced length]. The "extra length" has to go somewhere. In this case the coils bow, and hit the body.
Scale readings and some math, will help get it right.

Just sayin.......
