Default geoffreymexico's last minute build thread

I wasn't planning on rebuilding the TransAm for awhile until I had all the money to start building it the way I want it to be in its final form, but since I sold the ctsv I've been craving some speed so here we are. I'm going back into the military in September so I wanted to enjoy the rest of my summer here.

I found a lq4 with forged pistons and rods and picked that up and planned on using my current setup

AFR 205s 59cc
FAST 90 / TPIS 90 TB
Kooks LTs, ORY, Magnaflow

I figured my rings were shot but didn't realize how much damage was done until I pulled the heads.

A few buddies and a few days later the motor is pulled.

I got my AFRs fixed/valve job/new seals and milled down to 58ccs

I bolted up one side and turned it over a few times to see how well everything was going to clear

I lost a few washers on my ARP head bolts so that put a kink in my Fourth of July plans so with the help of one of my best friends and the best bodywork/painter I know we got some things cleaned up and did a little paint work.

Was I supposed to take the playdoh out before I torqued down the heads?
