Default Rules on wrap around harness.

I'm using a wrap around harness and was wondering about the rules on welding retaining bars to the crossbar to keep the strap from sliding. Once I did my initial install, I don't see how my shoulder straps could separate after they go through the back of my kirkey..... Im not really trying to avoid a safety issue if one is present, it's just a pain to get my car back up to my work shop, especially to spend 1 minute welding, given I have to fully disassemble the straps. Also with the lap belts and those who have used the stock mounting points, are your belts practically pulled all the way in on the bolt in side? I still need to tighten mine down some more but it's almost to the stitched together part of the belt as it is.

depands on what set you have I have RJS and when I had them recert then will change the strap lenght and style for free (no more then the std recirt) On my kirkeys they changed the lap belts to pull up, and the shoulder to pull down. that helped alot. the side bolster of the seat on the pull down would loosen them.

Im not sure on the rule if you have to have the sholder wrap around style fixed. What about getting some 2 part collar rings to hold them if they do move. I know what you mean, after you paint and get everything back in it sucks to have to weld any updates.

I have thought about that,I just like the clean install of welded lol. I have the rci platinums. I would greatly benefit from shorter straps

They told me to install them, cut the excess off, and use a lighter to burn the edge to keep it from separating.

Curious about this as well. I am about to install my harnesses that are wrap around on the shoulders. If anyone has pics, that would be great.
