Default Need Help ASAP re: around the dash cage

Here's the big question. Do I have to run the bar going through the dash horizontally if I use a cage that curves around the dash? It's my understanding that if the stock firewall is in place, then no bar is required. Need to know quick, since my dash is already half out. I don't want to have to cut it so that the down bars have to go through it.

If you have a stock, unmodified firewall, you do not need the crossbar.

Not to doubt you Shawn, but are you 100000000% sure on that? I hope you're right, that would kick ***.

I am 99% sure. I have a buddy that owns a chassis shop in SC, and I'm almost positive this is what we came up with. Might wanna PM NRC Motorsports, or Dan @ Wolfe Racecraft to be 100000000% sure

I was just there today. If your firewall is unmodifide or modifided under 1 SQ foot then you do not have to have the fire wall bar.

Does that go with your ET though? I'm assuming your looking for 9's right? I might be wrong but I thought it was necessary to have the connecting crossbar under 10.00 or beyond 149.99 mph. A full connecting 10-point minimum to be legal. Not sure though.
