Default 9.58 @ 141.70 mph.... new pb

well Roman, Rob, and I headed out last night to Grand bend motorplex last night.

only got to make 2 passes, got there late, someone had oiled down the track.

first pass off the trailer 1.39 60' 9.58 @ 141.70 mph. when i grabbed 2nd gear it felt like i carried them for almost a second!!!

i had a bit much fuel dialed in for the fogger, better a tad rich than lean! so then went back out the next pass, car rolled the beam as the lights were coming down, launched a bit rpm less this time, with a tad bit less tire pressure, it was a picture perfect launch! hung the wheels about 8 - 10 inches and carried them for about 45 feet, car went straight as an arrow. i think i drove out of the groove a bit when i grabbed third it got squirrely, so i lifted. unfortunately i tossed my alt. belt

by this time it was getting late, plus i think i have a nagging valve seal seal leak. oil and n2o don't mix so rather than chance it i trailered it. after watching the video i could see a wee bit of detonation through the bullet mufflers, not a good thing obviously!!! i now have 5 weeks to check a few things change vavle seals, and if all is well, head down to US41 mid June!

as far as speculation goes.... based on the better sixty on the second pass, and if being fat on the first pass i think a high 9.3x is doable.

i wish i could've gotten a slip for my 60' that felt like one of my best yet!

thanks to Rob and Roman again for the help

That's SO sweet!! Post up the videos?

The new ls1 car i just bought is a 6speed rather than an auto just for the reasons of you, CamminBeaSSt, and a few others running 9's in them.

Hopefully you get those things taken care of and I'll be watching at US41 since it's semi local to me!

And just cause I'm curious, how much are you spraying on those passes? When thenew motor goes in at the end of June I hope to be around what you are on motor, so just curious what it would take to get similar e.t.'s(less driver skill of course)

i can get to that, i am sure Derty would host it for me, unfortunately Roman was more excited with the run than taping. Rob and Roman were watching the car launch etc, to make sure all was well there.
thanks again Roman, it is on video and that is awesome!!!!!

Hey Taner,

Congrats on the run, sorry couldn't of been there to capture it. You know, I might just have a picture of you carrying the front tires through the sixty foot at Beech Bend last year!

Moose,

sorry this is taner, lol! Roman won't disclose that information lets just say I had an LS2 pushing me from behind, lol!!! it would've been nice to get it down the track on the second pass as it left hard and pulled like i had never felt before! I had some VH motivating me in the car just prior to the launch! "Unchained"

thanks Jason!

Rani,
i got your email so is a poster in order, lol!!!

Nice Taner.Did you make any changes from last year other than correcting the issues with your ARE engine? If not your new PB speaks volumes.

All I can say. Is I'm glad that I was there.

That is one of the most violent cars I have ever seen.
