MT 28 stiff wall 1.49 60 ft still has stock rear shocks also!! Banging gears.

I went 25 down to 12psi on the old bias-ply.(and everywhere in between) low pressure, hooked great....but feels iffy. (to me anyway)

I cut consistent mid 1.3x 60' with my M/T 28"x10.5 stiff sidewall.
Fast slip of clutch not just dumping.
I Can't go much faster IMO without more hp.

Sign me up, interested in your technique, do u have a 2 step, run nitrous on a wot switch , is the slip a slow raise with the foot off the bottom, what clutch u running?

Depending what your powerband and rev limiter is you may be able to do like me, my car peaks at 6000-6100 and falls fast after that so my rev limiter is only 6400 and that's basically my "2step". At the line I sit at idle until the second light then push the gas all the way down its about perfect at rev limiter for a split second as it turns green then I release fast with clutch foot in the air only my toes touching the pedal. I call it a dump but it's a quite a bit smoother effect than the true "sidestep" a lot of guys do. I have big size 14 shoes so I couldn't do a sidestep if I wanted to anyway

X2, your most likely not gonna pull a 60' anywhere near that with a stick and radial combo, and if you do your gonna eat your clutch

It can be done, but you would need to spend about 15k on a liberty clutchless 5 speed and dual disc setup like in a prostocker. My brother runs one in his 62 Catalina. 900 H.P.-3200lb 1.23-1.25 60 fts. Its just a lot easier with a automatic.

^can be done, but the typical weekend warrior would be much better off spending a ton less running a slick haha

nnooSS... your car probably would go faster with an Auto.

Problem you get with stick cars if to elimate the bog you either have to spin it to the moon to leave or gear the living **** out of it(4.88 or steeper).

You can't have the best of both worlds without a slick to get the best results.

I've always wanted to buy myself a BONE STOCK white z28 hard top car and do NO BOLT ON power mods just suspension and some weight reduction and either a face plated or pro shifted tranny and put a 9" out back with some 28x10.5 slicks and see what it would do. BUT I got to looking at face plating or pro shifted prices and I quickly changed my mind. I'de rather build a 440" RHS motor for my trans am. LOL

Just get the correct offset wheel is all

7.5 backspaceing on a 10inch wide wheel
That's if your rear end isn't narrowed
