very impressive John Deere racer maybe u could help me under stand this a little better

u mention I needed a stiff tire to get my car to launch, ok I see it works by looking at your 60ft times

My Question is why has everyone been telling me to get my ET street drag radial off my car and it will 60 ft better, there explained there are to stiff and not for a stick car.

Again I know nothing about drag tires

Any slick will hook better than DR
A stick shocks them to hard

I have tried many tires...

The ET drag S
Stiff sidewall will hook for u the best
Even with stock suspension

If it's dead hooking, I wouldn't think there would be much more in a slick ?
Guys are running deep into the 1.teens with MT DR's....and that's not even the pro tire.
I also know slicks just work better with a stick, but I don't like the top end squirm I got with a bias tire and low air pressure.

Good looking car Doug, Its not dead hooking I have tried everything to get it to go on the radial tire with not luck, if I drop the 2 step down to 3800 it bogs the car down, and if I leave at 4000 it spins real bad and wont recover, its the fastest at 3900 rpm and spinning some.

How low did you run your tire psi?

Does your car dead hook at 6500 or are you letting it slip a little to get wheel speed up ?

Hope you get them 1.2xs 60ft

Make sure the car is level as much as possible

+1 for MT Drags with a Stiff sidewall

best 60 ft was 1.41 on a car that made 390rwhp and it would hook dumping from right under the limiter.

I been running the Hoosier 28x10.5 (C07) stiffwall slick with great results. So far my best 60ft on them is a 1.34

Wasted 2 years of my racing life chasing 60's with 275-315 26" radials and a stick. Never consistent just a "lucky" pass here and there. Typical day looked like 1.85 1.75 1.9 1.8 2.1 1.7 1.9 1.75 . Now with an et street bias 26x10 every pass is a 1.61-1.66 leaving about 6000-6400rpm. Still drive to and from the track 70 miles each way.
