Looking sweet man. Will you have to run OE glass all around?

No, I don't have too but I will be. Front glass didn't get broken when removed so it will just be cleaned and reinstalled with new trim.

pretty much just been painting and grinding but the car is basically back together waiting on the motor to get done. all i have left to do before then is run a couple wires back to the battery and put in the carpet which has been ordered. I ended up selling my rossler th400 and went with a powerglide so i will be replacing the fti converter with most likely a ptc unit and will also be picking up a precision shifter. electronics have been mounted along with the interior pieces minus the bottle brackets. finished up welding in the new travel limiters from Bob@AEI the other day so that is now checked off the list as well. here a few pics of where i currently am sitting:

last of the holes in the floor are now patched and i welded in a piece of 16G for the shifter hole as it will be ridged enough to mount the shifter directly to if i choose to go that route.

Electronics mounted.

Here is the new trans, its a rossler t5 in a reid sfi case, micropolishing and a coan 1.69 first gear by rpm.

also picked up a new hood from feather carbon to take care of any clearance issues:

heres a shot comparing it to the vfn extended hood:

new travel limiters installed:

heres just a couple random pics, new wheels, rear end set up etc...

this is where the height is sitting at now but i will probably lower it a bit more:

and here is just reinstalling the window net, chute handle and column

Nice looking trans. What was the reasoning behind going with a powerglide?

i want to be able to put some power in it off the line and i dont think was gonna happen with the 2.48 gear set in the TH400. if i would have stayed with it, it probably would have been a battle of either spinning or dragging the bumper.

It's been so long since I bought the speedwire stuff I don't even remember exactly what I paid for it. It is the larger 12 circuit board which was more money. If i had to take a guess all of it was around 1500 or so.

It's just rustoleum semi gloss "automotive grade" spray paint.

When u painted the cage did u prime it first or just brushed it on? Does it come in like a quart can from lowes or somewhere?

The door panels were made by dmh fabrication, not sure if they are still making them or even are around any longer.

I wasn't able to find a quart anywhere but online so i ended up buying it on amazon. Home Depot and Lowes only had spray cans. I didn't prime anything on mine. I wiped everything down with mineral spirits and started painting.
