Default Shaving Stock Valve Covers

Want to shave or grind down the coil brackets mounts. For a smooth apperance.
I think the mounts recess into the valve covers some. I'll need to put some kind of filler in there, then sand down smooth.
Any help will be appreciated.

You'll probably need to find somebody that has a welder with an alum. spool gun/ tig torch to fill the holes so you will have a little meat to sand back down.

Honestly man I did that so long ago I can't remember. I did them before I owned a tig welder. Now I would just weld the holes up.

I would think any of the jb welds would work though.

Just keep an eye on the back of the valve cover as you grind down the coil bosses. I think there is plenty of alm there to get away with it.

If you are painting them then you can use body filler like evercoat or usg body filler to finish off the grinding scratches. If you can sand out the remaining area with a DA and 80grit paper, it will smooth the rest of the valve cover down for primer.

Give the valve cover a bath is thinner or min spirits before sanding and it will cut down on fish eyes when primering..
