I run 27 inch QTP and I do run tubes. I like the additional stability and extended life tubes provide since I also run them on the street occasionally. Love the QTP's, lighter stickier than the MT ET Streets I removed

That's what I bought, 27-10.5 -15, did you get the tubes from summit ? And what brand ? I haven't looked into it yet

28" QTP's here. No tubs. I drive it about 20 miles to the track and to the local drive in.

While not QTPs, when I took my MT ET Street bias plys to the tire shop I've been going to for 15 years they said not to run tubes. I trust what they say and the tires work fine with no spinning on the rim run at 13 psi. With tubes you're going to need to screw the tire to the rim.

If you decide to run tubes, I would recommend they be made of natural rubber, especially If you're going to run them on the street. Here's some info I learned the hard way with tubes in motorcycle tires. When you get a puncture with synthetic tubes the tube pops like a ballon and the tire deflates instantly. With a natural rubber tube the inner tube accepts the nail and kind of seals around it with a slow leak instead of going flat all at once. When run without tubes if the QTps get a puncture they will deflate slowly like any other tubeless tire.

If I ran the tire at the track only I wouldn't worry about tubes...but like I said, if you run them on the street at all you will want tubes, at least I did. Tubes will extend the life of the tire and provide a lot more stability. As stated you will have to screw the wheel if you run tubes.

It's been years since I had a drag car with bias tires so I originally tried the bias tires without tubes. I hated the wiggle on the top end and at highway cruising speeds so I added the tubes. You won't be out anything by trying them to see how you like them without.

I run the MT tubes and you can get them at summit, Jegs or pretty much any race car parts/tire supplier.

its about 50 miles to the track one way so i'll try it with out tubes and see how it does. I only used nittos 555 the last five times ive been to the track ( my steet tires ) and they are ok, but wheel hopping real bad. I'm looking forward to using some slicks and also a track reopening back up. So no screws needed at my power level ( 470rwhp ) and dumping clutch @5 or 6rpms ? im not using nitrous yet

I have been cam only - LG G5x3 with stock 241 heads so you are making more power than I am. I am forging my bottom end this winter, porting/milling the heads, weight reduction, adding a N2O plate kit with 200 shot on a progressive and a monster stage three clutch. How much nitrous you plan on spraying?

most likely a 150 shot, and see how that goes. I'm all good in the bottom end, My cams power range is from 3600 to 7200 rpms. It likes to spin, haven't pushed it to much tho. I'm not do wiring the nitrous yet, its a 102 plate with the mini and 2000 box
