installing a fast 92 intake

hey guys im about to pick me up a fast 92mm intake. for my 98 z28 ls1 . Any tips or tricks that could save me some time or money? Would be greatly appreciated !

Lol yes set aside atleast 2hrs and get a buddy or two to help! Look up multiple videos on how to do it and atleast a few threads on how to do it on this site. If you dont i almost guarantee you will break the oil ascending unit. Which it sits directly behind the intake manifold and you will need to get a fuel disconnect tool to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. Get some tap to help hold up the back 4 intake bolts (2 on each side need to be about half way out in order to pull the intake off). If you can somehow remove the oil ascending unit first tho if not then be very careful not to break it. Im sure i left something out but no worries others will chime in

Awesome thanks guys! i will be sure to be careful wile doing the intake swap. will i not be able to pull the intake bolts out ?

Easy install just don't break the oil sending unit. I broke mine and didn't even know it till the intake was out if the way.

I cut some vaccume hose in 1" or so lenths and slit them down the side to hold up the intake bolts. U can't pull them all the way out. They hit the wiper cowl metal.

Smart. I'm going to do it this way now on instead of my Mickey Mouse tape method.
