Default Afco 3870R Rear Shocks?

Ok I see these listed as the DA Shock (Afco 3870R) to go with on the rears, my question is some shops say use these and run stock springs. So say you buy a set of these and decided 1 year down the road you want to switch to a coil over setup, can you buy the stuff to make these a coil over or do you have to buy a new shock. Because you pay $760 now for the shocks then have to sell them later to go coil over thats $900-1000.

Or better wording, are the Afco-3870R the same shock used as alone as in the coil over kit for the rear?

Scott...

The Afco 3870R is a threaded body shock that can be switched to a full coil-over shock at any time. It's just a matter of adding the upper and lower spring seats, springs, and a set of the MWC transverse lower mounts.

On a side note the Afco shocks come automatically with a spherical lower mount that needs a spacer installed between the shock and the oem brackets to work properly, unless the transverse mount is used. Afco does not supply the spacer with the shocks.

Give me a call when you're ready to order... you know I will hook you up with the best deal!
