Ride height question, does this seem right?
Ride height question, does this seem right? Okay, so after my last track outing I am trying to setup my suspension properly as I was having tons of issues trying to get the car to come out of the hole hard. The nose would come up, then unload the rear tires. I had a pretty ridiculous rake going on and have since raised the the front end. I have the front end at 28" on both side and 28 7/8" on the rear. I have afco da coilovers up front and will be running strange singles on the rear, but currently have bilstiens. The rear spring has 1 coil removed and the hh mod and the car has a moser 9". Does this seem right? It looks really dumb in the front end and the overall height seems too high. I am on an et street pro in the rear which measures almost 28 1/4", so I don't really feel the rear needs to be lowered anymore then it is. It seems most people I have discussed this with have their care sitting a lot lower then mine currently does. I need to finalize my ride height so that I can adjust the rest of my suspension accordingly. I am averaging 1.7x 60ft's which is garbage considering the amount of mods I have done. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a '99 Trans Am WS6.
My front with Afco's and 275 springs is 27 5/8" to fender lip.
My rear with 3 way Comps and V-6 springs and hh is 28 5/8".
The front is right at factory height, but I'm thinking about lowering it about an inch.
Haven't drove the car with the new shocks and springs yet.
The rear is about an inch lower than factory height with the MT DR 275's.

Hey man read the Sticky, (A gold mine of info on launching a drag car). Very good info. You do what it says in that sticky and your car will ****** the fillings out of your teeth. Not to mention you will go down the track like your on a Sunday afternoon cruise.
