Tip to keep track rubber off your paint So maybe a bunch of you already know this trick, but I just thought of it last week and figured I'd try it when I went to the track last weekend (instead, of the ole masking tape routine). It worked!
Armorall= that's it.... spray Armorall where the rubber normally slings up onto your car. In my one-time experience, 95% of the rubber just glanced right off. At the end of the day the Armorall just picked up light dust and stuff, but that's about it. Then it just washed right off without a problem.
I assume it's not bad for the paint, idk.
Just thought it might save somebody a little time.

All those may work fine for rubber, but only the tape will protect paint from sand and rock pitting. It only takes a few minutes and I consider it part of my race prep ritual.

When I take my Land Rover off road, before I go I spray Armour All all on the under carriage. When you pressure wash the mud off afterwards it just melts off. Clean up of the underside is a thousand times easier. So it definitely works.

Geddex makes their "Burnout Guard" which works pretty well also. May just be cooking spray. LOL

He's it talk about the problems products like that cause when painting. If you even use an aerosol can in the same region it will cause fish eyes. Say a 5000sq foot shop area and you're using it outside the paint booth. It can and will find itself in there somehow and play hell with what ever your painting.
