what all do I need to do to swap from my 4l60??? will the flexplate I have in there now work? what about the driveshaft, I just bought this driveshaft when I bought my rearend

New flexplate, trans x member and mount, ds, and lines.
Shifter, shifter cable. Madman dip stick,...,
A lot more than just the trans and converter. LOL.

If you want, I live in hampton and am in the middle of my swap if you want to come by and take a look at everything. I am waiting on a driveshaft to be made, but I can show you everything you need to get it done.

The reason you will hear the t-350 and 400 are more suited to street cars is because of the ratios. With a glide you may want a 3.70-4.10 rear gear to optimize the combo with the 1.76 or 1.80 1st gear. With a 3 speed you have a lower 1st gear which allows you to run a more street friendly 3.23-3.50 gear without the car being a slug to the 60'.

To run a 3.40-3.50 rear gear with a glide you need hp to make it 60'

This man can set you up with a PTC Converter.

this is the flexplate I have now, will this work? ive seen other posts of the flexplates other people are using, they just say ls1 sfi, nothing special.
is there a certain one I need for the th400??

I run a TCI #399753.
Prefect fit, direct bolt on.
Yank use to be top of line products.
I don't see where it says for a TH 400 in the info, that's posted.
Just for a LS1.

ok ill have to call yank and ask? will I need some kind of spacer? or does the th400 just bolt up?? hey RENE, did you use a spacer of some kind?
