I ran a 240/244/112+2 cam in my 2000 Z/28, went 10.92 on motor. 3300 r/w. 11:1, stock cubes. 4800 stall, 4.10 gear, 28x10.5 slick. Only 60'd 1.48 on motor. Went 10.008 on 150 shot, 1.38 short time.

I have some friends running better than that (stock bottom end) with cams that have less intake duration.

Personally, I don't see the big cams like yours doing well down low, as evidenced by all the other cars on camaro5 that only run mid 11's.

Yeah, I think you are right, and my car is a good example of that. I have the VVT specs somewhere, but can't put my hands on them right now, but as I recall the durations are both less and the lift is a little more. Take that with a grain of salt since my brain has frequent senior moments.

Looks like I'm doing 3.91's in the near future, and I just picked up some slicks too. I've been research and personally speaking I would keep the intake duration < 231, maybe even in the 22x's. I am only running a 3200 though, might some day loosen that up to a 3600 but that would be it for me.
