Nothing more fun than running the guy down, get even, then waap, waap, waap, inching them at the stripe.

stage as shallow as you can and leave when the 2nd yellow shuts off , or deep as suggested above by a guy that cuts .020's (damn) I am usually .030's but only race once a year if I am lucky , probably best try both and any other suggestions you get before the actual event , everybody has what works for them between their ears but you definitely need to tighten that number up - the good news is you recognize that

Its really hard to go when a light goes out vs a flash. It's a .500 between second amber and the third. Thats a full second until the green comes on. I did set my 07 street mustang to go off the 2nd amber. Took a very shallow stage and off idle. Fly by wire took a long time to actually go. Still in good air I had to stagger stage (staged sideways) to increase rollout to slow the car. Advantage of off idle is that I could add a .020 to my RT by keeping my heal down and lifting my toe off the gas.

Unless the slow guy is holding .08 sees what your doing and dumps you between the mph cone and the stripe making you break out.

So you live in Fort Myers?

I usually stage as soon as the second light barely comes on, footbrake, RPM's 12-1500, front tires 38, rear tires depends on track that day but between 18 and 22.

You do not need to beat anyone by a car length just 1 inch. That is what the brake pedal is for. Go on youtube and search( BE 00 Take 00 ) and watch some of the guys play the game.
Are saying that if I trial run a 11.0 I should dial a 11.05 or even 11.1? Then play that out in the end?

Deep stage so that you just put out the top pre stage light. If you a little red drop launch rpm 100-200 and or drop rear tire pressue by a pound.

Hold .05-.10 Run it out to the 1000' marker then adjust to take stripe by a small mov. Taking a car length will most likely give you a break out loss. Start adjusting (backing in or slowing down) at the 1000' mark and you can make 5-6 adjustments. Look across and try to put your nose (your face) even with the middle of your opponents windshield piller. Crossing at the finish there should give you a .019-.010 first to cross mov and a win.

Take your full out time slip (time run) and subtrack the 1000' ET from the 1/4 mile ET. This factor can be added to your elimination 1000' to give you a good ball park of what you would of run if you didn't lift\brake.

Its easier to drive the top end holding more not less. Less your catching (or being caught) too close to the finish line to respond.
