Once you push the Transbrake button the car should stay put. Then when you get on the 2-step it may rock a bit but it'll keEp same staging position.

Try holding the button longer before you let off the brake tranny might not be at full line pressure yet.

TH400 brake typically is better off with a bit more RPM to get pump pressures and fluid flow to move. The 400 has to fill a large capacity piston servo to apply the band that locks the drum... somewhat different than other transmissions.

Mine used to do the same thing (Rossler 350)...try cycling button 2-3 time, then hold down all while 'standing' on the brake. Solved my rocking.
