Would still love to know where those y fittings came from. You guys never answered me. Specifically the one off the fuel filter and the ones on the coolant lines in the front.

As Eric mentioned after Ducks Race at SGMP in late September, I decided to keep the car in the garage and get it ready for updates this winter. We ended up running a new personal best @ SGMP even with a very tired engine.

60 ft - 1.125
330' - 3.025
1/8 ET - 4.584
1/8 MPH - 157.48

Pass was made at X legal weight - 3340#.

We made over 80 hits this past season with the blower combo, and only destroyed one blower and the engine never needed anything except oil changes every race. We changed mid season to a new billet, bolt together converter from Coan, and it really changed how the car responded.

This winter Eric @ MWC is building a "new" rearend using parts no one has done yet. Should be a killer piece for sure. We are freshening the engine/trans combo, along with adding an F1X-12 blower for use in the NMCA Street Outlaw class. Goal is 4.49X in X275 trim with small F1X blower, and high 30's with the big F1X-12 blower.

Should be a busy winter as usual...

LOL, I did that on purpose

Automan Technologies is where I got them, but they are no longer in business anymore. Website is taken down now. He was an older gentleman that made alot of custom Nitro fuel parts etc.

Thanks for the response man. I have looked so hard for something like those I literally got to a page on the internet that said "The End".

Its been awhile since I've updated this post so I figured I share what we are up to.

After SGMP last fall, I worked with Eric @ Midwest chassis on a new rearend for this upcoming season. We made some considerable updates with this change over, specifically stepping up to a Strange floater axle setup. Still running a 40 spline axle, just now the floater takes all the rotational weight of the tire/wheel. Much safer style of rearend, (expensive) but it will have no issues at all with the new upcoming HP. This complete housing was also built entirely of chrome moly plate, vs the standard mild steel housings. We also built a new center section with only the best parts available from Strange. Everything has been REM finished and microblued for reduced friction.

Also stepped up to a new M&M close ratio TH400 transmission with an SFI ATI Case. I have the ability to leave in 1st or 2nd on the transbrake now with this. This is one badass transmission, and should help us get down even the most marginal of race tracks with the custom ratio's we are using. Every option was checked off when ordering this bad boy

We also now have a new Procharger F1X-12 blower to use in NMCA Street Outlaw. I posted a comparison picture of the big blower on the left, and old faithful std F1X blower on the right.

We made some other changes, but I can't let everything out of the bag just yet

That blower is way bigger, had no idea. The rear is awesome, definitely stronger.

Care to share what ratios you went with?

I just had Rossler do me a Reid case'd TH210-XHD with a 1.97 first, 1.35 second and 1.00 third. I'm coming from a Rossler Terminator III with the stock 2.48, 1.48 gearing so I'm hoping I can get my rig to leave without chopping the nuts off of it for the first 60 feet.

Unfortunately not at this time. I can't reveal all my secrets

Radial stuff is very finicky when it comes to starting line ratio's and the like. We've found some stuff that works, and we improved upon that with this new trans to allow us to run both blowers with optimized gearing on each one.

Totally understood. The guys that are flying with radials consistently got it going on with their combos. I probably wouldn't let that out either.

Post more pics. Thx

I know a couple people that tried the close ratio gear sets in X275.... The understanding I got was if you're planning to NMCA 1/4 race and 1/8th race they seem to have some benefits. If solely 1/8 I was told the cost outweighs the benefits... The gear sets are around $3k and there were better ways to get SLR in the 6-8 (intentionally broad) range...

Some interesting things going on with lock up stuff.... But not sure if Sears it letting that stuff stay

Brian, will the same gear drive work with both blowers? Just wondering.

Almost certain that the mounting plate the blowers will change. I'd be interested to know if it was possible for them to come up with a solution where the back half of the gear drive stays, and then each blower has its own mounting plate.

Good question????
