Is it possible to run a 2.0 60....

But we are talking M6 here, atleast I am....
Racer, no kidding, moroso with the humidity there can make a car that hooks great at other tracks spin like crazy.

As far as 60ft times, Mccrat is totally correct, comparing 60 ft times with people 1000 miles away is tough. ETown doesn't prep very well, surely not as good as Atco. A 2.10 60 ft at ETown could probably be a 1.95 at Atco.
Kenny- I didn't see that run, but I know what you mean. The guy next to me on one run didn't pull up far enough to trip the stage light, so I sat there for about a minute or so until someone told him to move up. Then he went too far, had to move back, had to move up again, back again... wonderful. All I could think about were my tires cooling down LOL The last time I was there on stock tires, the rear end of my car kicked out so bad, it scared the you know what out of me. That's when I decided I would do a real burnout LOL... anything to keep that from happening again.
But regardless, 1.7x 60's are impressive, especially having problems and still running a 1.7 60'.
It's one thing to be new at the track, but people should ask questions and find out what is the proper protocol before they decide to race. I remember seeing the one guy race off the end of the track because he didn't know when to stop!!! He ended up hitting the gravel at 110mph in a 300zx I believe. I guess he just missed those huge traps, and the what...3, 4 turnoffs? oops!

Good Luck.
In other words...I'd bring the motor to about 1500 rpm, dead-drop the clutch and nail the gas. Just a little chirp and off I'd go.
As for Nitto's...if done correctly, they can REALLY work. Not an F-body, but I have a friend that has gone mid 1.7's - consistently - on 17" Nitto's, with a 99 Cobra...had the IRS, no less. He runs 15-17 psi, and does a really good burnout - much like a slick.
The comparison likely isn't very good though, as the T45 has a 3.37 1st gear, and when combined with his 4.30's, give him quite an advantage on launch (even with a 3525 lb race weight).
Anyways, I hope some of this is useful.
Look at my sig...remember that 2.1 is on all season rsa's!
