Default Metal in the oil

It might be a dumb question but when I changed my oil and cut my filter there was flakes in the oil and filter is this common for a 5.7 aluminum block ? First time running a ls1 and there is about 50 passes on it ... So no racing for me today ... Starts and runs fine and run good last night at test and tune ... My plans are to take it home and take the motor apart and see what's up

haven't torn it apart yet ... there was metal pieces in the oil pan and shavings in the oil filter :-(

three pieces.... looks like a valve spring cup ... and oil filter was full of aluminum shavings .... I don't wanna get mad at the car cuz ill end up selling it .... just a lot of stuff all at once

well they took it apart and bearing 1 and 5 of the crank are worn out and the shavings were from that ... wtf I cant get a break

I am having the same issue already! not even 300 miles on mine and maybe 10 passes total with low boost. Rod bearings look great......

Randomly had **** oil pressure went wot and had 23-30 where normally had 80-90 Rod bearings look great no detonation. I'm going to pull it and bring it to the shop that built it. Not coming to conclusions but it sure looks like machining error
