LMAO@Mike!
I have only made one good launch on the brake thus far (the 9.95 was made without the brake.) It was a 1.39 60 ft (was only running the 1/8) and yeah, it was pretty orgasmic!
I've also made 1.39s without the transbrake when I had the 3.06 1st gear of the 4L60-E. Same 60 ft but the feeling of doing it on the brake is brutal! It's that first 2 feet of movement that SMACKS you in the back on the brake that is the difference. You'd swear the 60 ft time is going to be a 1.29 when it's really a 1.39.

That was a sweet run! I want to be there when you spray! Tell John to let me know when you decide to give it a go!

Way to go Stephen! Yes I am just stupid enough to ride with you on one of those runs! Maybe you can bring that car the next time I go to MMP with Jerry and John.
Again, congratulations. A lot of hard work and another goal met.
Now we need to get the trans-brake working and some N2O

Thats insane, congrats
How much N20 do you estimate it would take to run an 8.99? How much could that motor theoretically take?
Good luck, I hope you decide to fall off the wagon and go back to the bottle

Let me add my congrats, wow whatta pass!!
I guess MTI has their stuff together on their motors. I'd vote for the gear vendors overdrive myself. We have a guy in FL running a 67 Olds Cutlass 455 motor on alcohol, 3600 race weight, non-splayed valve edelbrock heads, Turbo 400 and a vendors unit, 4.56 gears (he still cruises it mid-week!) Has run 6.38 1/8 mile!! All Olds power!! And my god does it wheelie!! He had to add wheelie bars, almost went over backwards a few times, pics will prove it

I know, it's not an LS1, but still bad-azz
