I agree that humidity isn't a big factor in cooler weather but the barometer certainly is. I'd rather race in 80 degrees with a barometer of 30.8 at 80 degrees than I would with a temp of 60 and a barometer of 29.4 for instance.

Colonel everyone would like to race in 30.8in of barometer but thats just not going to happen.
The example you gave is almost the same DA. Humidity has a far greater effect on track times when its hot outside. Hotter air holds alot more water in the air then colder air does.
I guess what Im tring to say is, if it was in the 50s outside the weather wasnt bad at all. Sure it would be better with high baromter and low humidity with freezing temps......but we all cant race when theres frost on the ground.
Im sure you already knew that though.

The temp was 58 deg. and the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

All the cars were covered in dew and everyonehad traction problems even the heavy hitters who never have problems hookin it up.

On my run I spun about 30' but I'm not complaining.

I agree that temperature, which commonly ranges between 25 degrees and 95 degrees where I live, can sway the DA ALOT more than the range of barometric pressure that we see. But, in my view the barometric pressure is still important no matter what the temp. Sure, if it's 50 degrees outside and the barometer is 29.95 that's still a really good day compared to any day when it's 95 degrees but I'd still much rather that barometer be 30.5 as well.

30.8 does happen but of course it's not common.

Priscilla, I'm not proud of it, it's just that two other people that replied in this topic tried and were shot down but I wasn't.

You're way cuter than her!

Nice times Richie!

As far as the Baro arguement, I too would much rather have a high baro than low humidity. I guess it's usually like this..when the baro is high..the humidity generally seems to be low.
Baro effects times more than what most people think.
