Default Do I have a chance at 11's?

Hey guys, I'm hoping all you pros can help me out here. I haven't been to the strip in about 3 months, and the last time I went my best was a 12.4 @ 112.68 with an unkown short time (damn test 'n tune nights). I see guys post 11 and 10 second time slips here on the board with cam only cars and was wondering if my car has it in her to run a high 11. I put my car on a dyno about 2 months ago and she put down 376rwhp and rwtq in 90 degree heat. My cars suspension is stock except for some lower control arms and SFC's. I have the mods in my sig and I run on 16" stockers with BFG rubber at 18 psi. My car has some weight reduction; spare/jack, backseat/seatbelts, washer resivior, wipers, trunk seperator thing, !AIR, !EGR, and !sunvisors (they just fell off, and I like the way it looks better). So what do you guys think, with some practice on my part, do you think I have a chance at an 11 second time slip? I don't positively need it, but it would be nice to do it.

Your ET is pretty good for your mph. I think you're gonig to need more power to hit 11's. Of course, it's possible to run high 11's at your mph. It's just not likely. You'd have to cut a great 60'.

He has a M6. Not sure how you'd rig up a stall converter.

Yeah, I don't think a stall is in my next round of mods. The funny thing about my trap speed is that I was hitting 110.x before I even had longtubes, let alone the cam and tuning along with a pulley. Who knows, I'll go practice some more until I break something. Anymore input is appreciated.

It is not just about power in getting down the track, it is also about getting the power to the ground efficiently. Look at the mods the 11 and 10 sec "cam" only cars have. I am by no means knocking these cars in any way, justsaying check their other mods and you will usually see stickies and gears in there some place.

Get some stickies(ET Streets) and some 4.10's and this will get you closer if not into the 11's

True, but he's doing a pretty good job of that now. 112mph isn't very high. What is that...350rwhp? In my experience, LS1's that trap 116mph+ are able to break into the 11's with good suspension/traction.

Thanks for the input guys, I guess I'm stuck in 12 second land until I add my next round of mods. I don't want to add gears any steeper than 3.73's and that will be when I get a stronger rear.

Me to man. I went 373 with my 10 bolt and now I am regreting it and should have just saved up the $ towards a 12 bolt. Damn hind sight 20/20! oh well guess im stuck at 12's too untill I can come up with the ungodly $2500 for a rear.

That $2500 would have been nice to put in heads or something else.

GM really screwed us with this damn rear man. I mean the 8.8 in stangs is holding some serious power. Why didnt GM do something better for us?????????

Oh right I forgot . There CHEAP..................
