Default Can heat cause this much?

Long story short I went to the track about a year ago and ran:

60' - 2.154
1/8 - 8.623
MPH - 85.668
1/4 - 13.181
MPH - 107.464

This was on street tires. Since then I have added:

Hypertech 180* thermostat, BMR Lower Control Arms, BMR Panhard Rod, BMR Strut Tower Brace, ASP Underdrive Crank Pulley, and BFG Drag Radials.

Today I ran a best of:

60' - 2.080
1/8 - 8.796
MPH - 82.681
1/4 - 13.502
MPH - 103.934

The big difference is the weather, one year ago, it was about 65 - 70* and not too humid. Today it was about 85 - 90* and really humid. Can temp. and humidity cause this much of a loss? Also I ran two other runs today and they were almost the same. So I lost 3.53 MPH and 0.321 in the 1/4. But I should have gained some with the pulley and the lower 60' time. However I did bog pretty bad out of the hole with the DRs, I was launching at 3000 but it still bogged. All help is appreciated!

and your 60' was better so that shows the control arms and dr's were doing their job, try launching at a higher rpm next time untill the tires spin a little bit.

in just ONE day, from early morning to afternoon i went from 12.7's to 13.1's and thought the car was messed up. next weekend early morning was back to normal times. if you got a chance, just play with the weather/DA calculators to see the differences from even just weekend to weekend.. guess it's time to wait till fall for the good air again

not uncommon to slow down 3-4 tenths from good air to bad air (summertime). Every 1000 ft of altitude is about a tenth (give or take a little) of et, that's why I run 11.30s in good air and been high 11.50s and low 60s so far with the DA about 2700 ft.

I was on the dyno once and left my hood closed. IATs were about 40-50*F higher then with hood open and I lost about 30 rwtq and 30 rwhp that way. Not only does the hotter, less dense air hurt, you run leaner as well and timing gets retarded.
