Thumbs up Stock Z28 numbers

I took my 'new' Z28 out to Strictly Dyno (Thanks Todd!!! ) to see how much power it has. The car has absolutely no mods at all and is a hardtop A4 with 3.23 gears, it weighs 3375 lbs (with 3/4 tank of gas)! It put down 282.8 @ 5200 rpms and 306.1 @ 4100 rpms. Not bad I think. Then I took it out last night to LACR for some base runs. The first pass was the best and launching from idle (after a nice ) ... It ran a 14.16 @ 97.44 on a 2.10 60'. That time will be dropping very soon, hopefully into the mid 11s. The video of that pass in on my website!

Good run. Was that your first time at the track? When you start doing your modds that time will drop fast. Make sure that you video your runs after you do your modds.

It wasn't my first time at the track. Please go to my website and check out my sponsors as well. This was the first time at the track with this Camaro I am building up. It will run 9's eventually. I have driven my SS to a 12.44 (check the sig). Please see my website and watch the progress unfold.

Krazy98TA, patience and you'll find one at the local race tracks, that's how my hubby (12secSS) found me! Thanks everyone. The DA for that pass was an overwhelming 4500'! Which corrects to a ~13.3 at ~106.

nice first run for the DA, congrats! Are you planning on building up both Camaros, or just focusing on the 98 for the more serious stuff? Good luck!

Villian281H, I plan on keeping the SS from needing a roll bar ... the Z28 will be for the serious stuff.

Cheatin' Chad, the track was hooking too good, I tried stalling it up, different burnout ... it will come down eventually.

Thanks guys!

The best I have been able to run is a 14.0 with the mod's in my sig. That time is good.
