Not something you want to do on a constant basis... You have to remove the front and rear seats, console, rear sail panels, etc... Overall, it's a pretty big job.

GeorgeC, thanks for the quick reply! As I said, I already plan on having most everything out of there, I was just wondering how do you get the carpet out? I mean....do you just pull it out or what? How many pieces is it?

Not hard at all if you already have your seats, console, and panels out. Only other stuff you have to take out is your drivers seat and and seat belts (need a T50 torx bit). I've done it a few times and it is pretty heavy, not sure exactly how much it weighs. Maybe ~40-50 lbs. It is one huge piece and lays in pretty easily (about 10 minutes) when you put it back. I always find random **** under there too, like papers and change, haha.

You have to use a flathead screw driver to pry up the ratchet lever and pull the ebrake handle way up so the console will slide over it. Check out the shifter install write up at installuniversity.com, it shows you how to do it.
