how many people with a shift lite? how many of you have a shift light.....?
If so what kind and where's it mounted?

Re: how many people with a shift lite? I have an Autometer Shiftlite and I love it! Here is a pic and description of how and where its mounted.

Harlan Shift Light.
Side window Defogger vent.
Red is the best color that won't affect your night vision at all. Blue is the worst you could use because the high frequency of blue light doesn't contract the lens of your eye and it temporarily burns an impression into your cornea. Go in a dark room and flash a red light in your eye and see that it doesn't affect your night vison. Then flash a blue light in your eye and you'll see lights after it's off.

Re: how many people with a shift lite? I agree with SSpeed. I have a red harlan shiftlight mounted in my defroster pod as well.
Fact is I rarely see it on the street cause I can't shift at 6400 or else it gets sideways pretty bad.
It actually looks pretty cool being red because all of the gages in a TA are red. Most people didn't realize it wasn't factory.

Re: how many people with a shift lite? I have a auto meter w/shift light see pic for location. I did not want to drill holes into the dash so I used Velcro to secure it to the dash. If interested I could take close-ups for a better look. For the people that think it will never work I'm on my 2nd year with it like this and it never even come loose yet. In fact it is very hard to get it off.

Re: how many people with a shift lite? i have a yellow AutoMeter shift light installed in my center A.C. vent. i like it there it is out of sight but verry visable when it comes on. a full size shiftlight fits verry well if turned on it's side, didnt need any two sided tape or screws and was convient to run the wires (don't have any tacky looking wires running out of the dash)
