Default Heading to Douglas, GA this weekend

I guess I'm just not going to have an "off" period after all. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I'm going to head up to Southern Dragway in Douglas, GA this Saturday for the Outlaw 10.5 race, and run in the heads-up 7.0 class (1/8th mile). Should be a blast, if I can cut a decent light on a pro-tree... Lately the car has been running 6.9-7.0 through the exhaust, so I should be good to go, and may even have to take measures to slow the car down a tad since the weather forecast is calling for pretty cool temps come Saturday night.

This will be the first time I've ever run any type of heads-up class...

If anyone's interested, you can get more info at Southern Dragway

Well, everything was off to a decent start, until it started raining. My car was a little down on power, and spinning the tires pretty bad on most every pass, though... I won my 1st round 7.0 heads-up race, and my 1st round ET race, then the rain came. We got to split a pretty decent cash purse between the 7 remaining 7.0 cars, and split the purse for Sportsman ET among the 1st round winners as well, so I did alright, all things considering.

I got a new picture of my car, too, so it was a pretty fun trip overall...

Something must be up with Mediaone's server. The pic is there and was working last night, but is dead right now...
