Two files, two blisters, one cut, a bunch of sweat, and plenty of cussing.
To make it worse, I missed the "cool" weather....the temp went up at least 10 to 15 degrees while I was screwing around with that crap.
I still had fun.

Congrats Jason, that is awesome! I'm so glad we have an abundance of bolt-on parts for these cars now, it was brutal back in '98 when a lid, pulley, and cutout were our only mods LOL.
You are right, the 12-bolt is the BEST mod and most fun-producing mod I've done yet, even more fun than the 382ci motor! Nothing like a wheel-pulling launch in a six-speed car to put a grin on your face. And being able to drive home after doing so!
If I were to start all over again with a new car, the first mods I'd do are the 12-bolt, clutch, driveshaft, and slicks/runners. I'd love to see what is possible on a stock LS1 6-speed with no HP mods. 12.40s?

Awesome jason. I've been trying to tell guys to put a rear end for ages. Finally someone showed what it can do. A hard launch with a kick *** driver and the times will come. Now, if you could just go in a streight line lol.

Tony, I wonder if my buddy would let me do this to his BONE stock 2002 Z28?? <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0"> That would be bad ***! Next LS1 I buy, I guarantee this is what I'm going to do.

Damn, Jason, swapped out the motor for bolt ons and haven't missed a beat. What's that car going to turn with a 60' in the 1.5xs. I bet we find out soon!

So now I get to gun for you. Hopefully when the 12-bolt and headers get here they will put me solidly in the 11's. If only it wasn't snowing here right now.
