My car dynoed 40RWHP LESS with the A4 conversion
BUT ran almost a second faster in the 1/4 with only half throttle in first gear
With a full throttle launch 1.3 seconds easily quicker.

They could be across the street from each othr and give completly different results depending on the operator's knowledge. Theroretically though they should 'correct' to the same everywhere.
Track numbers also vary wildly across the country. My personal best is a 12.0 @ 119 in Denver (5800 foot). I don't bother posting corrected times since people don't want to hear corrected track times

The fact is that we're talking about apples and oranges. Track #'s reflect the performance of the car. That is the combined preformance and efficiency of the drivetrain, the chassis and the driver. Dyno #'s reflect the performance of the drivetrain. That is the combined performance and efficiency of the motor, the trans and the rearend. AND BIG NUMBERS ROCK!

But then again, you can't go by "best ET" either.
It's who you can whip-*** on at YOUR track. If you've got a 10 sec slip in your toolbox, it doesn't mean you're going to whip someone at the track. It's who crosses the line first.
