Re: Time for new slicks?
If you have suspicion that the tires are worn, and can afford a new pair, just go ahead and get a new pair. I did, and was sure glad i did too =)

Mic5ey, I have a set of Hoosier 27" X 11.5" X 15 QTP's for sale. About 12 runs on them. They are in good shape. Only reason for the sale is I went with 28" tall Hoosier's. I have cut 1.44 60 footers with the 27" QTP's. E-mail me if your interested.

Tom, they sound interesting but I want to stay with the Hoosier full slick , just a little wider than what I have now. Thanks for the offer,

Re: Time for new slicks?
Tom, I think I may be doing some changes over the winter with my combination.
I want to get 26x10x15 Hoosier Drag Slicks and some 4.11 out the back in my 12-Bolt w/this 4200 stall. In addition, I want some 28x11.5x15 ET Drags for my nitrous runs. Figure an 11 inch patch would be sweet... What do you think? Also, Mike at MMS is checking into a lock up valvebody from Precision Industries for my TH400.

Re: Time for new slicks?
Mic5ey,
Go with the full slick by M/T you won't go wrong. Great tire and does wear better then the hoosier.
Congrats on the new best also. Way to get it down the track.
Scott, I've found there is no happy medium for having both N/A and bottle. I say go for all out one or the other. You are going to save yourself a bunch of cash. If you try to do both N/A and bottle you will have problems getting everything out of it.
I'm having the same problem right.. Do I try and make it work with both, or, sell the NOS and just go full tilt on the motor. Leaning towards the motor right now..

Time for new slicks?
I think I am finally overpowering my little 26X9X15 Hoosiers. When I first got them, I could cut 1.51 to 1.53 60s. Now they are visibally almost 1/2 worn and Yesterday at Atco most of my 60' times were 1.57 to 1.65. I managed one 1.543 60 and went 10.98 @ 124.89 ( new best )NA . I've got Chris's Bogarts, and I think I'm going with 10" wide slicks this time. What do you think?
