Gains with the Wolfe swaybar?
I know somw of you have this bad boy. How much did you improve on you'r 60'? Could this be removed and my stock swaybar re-installed after racing season? Convince me to but one <img src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" border="0" alt="[judgement]" />
I was pulling about 1.4-1.42s without it. Pulled as quick as 1.38 with it. Changed trannys, converter, tires, and gearing and went a best of 1.40 (setup for a transbrake that wasn't working at the time.)
Now there's always something changing about my car so I can't say for sure that the bar only is what brought my 60 fts down to 1.38 from 1.4s. Mainly it made me more consistant and made the car burnout and launch much straighter.
You could leave it mounted but simply remove the endlinks that connect the bar to the underbody. Then it would drive like normal.

Thanks for the reply Colonel <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Guess I'll end up installing one maybe along with the A.T.E t-bars. My car flex's bad even with the sub-frame connectors on the launch. Tired of messing with the air bag so hopefully the Wolfe will solve my probs. Thanks again!
I just installed a Wolfe bar on my car Sunday afternoon. I'm planning on going to the track tonight for some testing of a couple changes I've made to the car, so maybe I'll have some data on the Wolfe bar to report.
I don't expect anything unrealistic from it. Like Colonel's car, I hope to just gain a little consistentcy in the launch and keep the car straight.
The track I'm going to tonight is usually not great as far as starting lines go, and my tires are on the verge of being dead, so it ought to be interesting.

Good question..I have been wondering about this too. Only difference I can see is that the Wolfe might be a little more rigid (solid) since its welded to the axle tubes. But, the BMR would be more streetable. I was going to order the wolfe tomorrow...decisions, decisions.....I just want the car to leave strait.
