Default 26x10.5 et drags on a 7 inch rim. how much will it effect my gear ratio?

hey guys, i just bought some welds from a guy on here that are 15x7 w/ a 26x10.5 slick. the skinny wheel has it pulled in pretty good but it looks pretty good on my car and it hooks like hell. made my clutch slip. my car has 373's i was wondering how bad it hurt my gear. i would have to guess its atleast 27" tall. thanks. i wish i could post a pic of my car but dont know how.

with 3.73 gears you will be just fine on a 26" slick.

Is your car a manual or auto?

If its a manual I would have 4.10s in there, but for an auto you'll be perfect with those wheels/tires.

EDIT: *oops I just saw your clutch was slipping.* I would up the gear to 4.10 anyway even for street driving if you got a 6 speed.

thanks, yea im going to go w/ a 4.10. i dont want to put any more money in my stock rear, so im going to have to order either a 12 bolt or 8.8. im leaning toward the 8.8. my buddie says wait until i tear up my stock one but i dont want to waste any more money on it.

Thats like me I had 4.10s in my M6 10 bolt and broke teeth off them 3 times. I got tired of fixing it. I put a moser 12 bolt in there with 4.30 and have never touched the rear once.

I would recommend the Moser 12 bolt, I think thats the best rear end out there for a street car. No problems with ABS etc. The 8.8 would be great too as long as it has everything you want for street driving and I think you can get an 8.8 at a good price too.

Good Luck Man!
