George, i'm sure you'll try like hell and make it close to that mark, if not hitting it
I just hope the motor doesn't

I'd be happy with 12.4's the first part of the season with what I have right now. But, this fall, I hope to be another 11-sec. bolt-on M6! 11-sec. timeslip!

Damn, there are some big expectation's here. My goal is to run low 10's on 346 ci's (weight being a big factor) and also not break nothing...

11s N/A and internally stock with my dinky 2:73s.
Then adding a cam and hopefully hitting mid 11s N/A.
I'm not going to be too greedy....but adding a nitrous system and hitting a 10.99 I would be happy with an 11.0 though

Re: What is your goal for 2002?
10.50's NA with the six speed, then 9.90's with an A3 conversion and some weight reduction and after all that we'll see what the nitrous does....

Re: What is your goal for 2002?
Please pardon the intrusion...not an LS1...
I want to get my 88 Coupe up and running competitively in NMRA F/S. The goal will be to win at least one race (there are 7 this year), and finish in the top 5 in points (#3 last year).
If I don't get it going in time, I'll end up running my Cobra at the first race or two in the same class. NMRA allows me to run 50 lbs lighter this year (whoppie - 3450lbs), and I should have my TKO (transmission) by the end of the month, to take care of my input shaft problems.
Once I'm not running the Cobra in F/S, I hope to lighten it up about another 100-125 lbs under my 3325 lb 11.85 trim (drag radial ET) with a tubular K member, A-arms, coil-overs, etc, and shoot for an 11.67 on slicks and bolt-ons.
My other goal - actually related to LS1's...LOL - is to make it out to the NFRA race this year. It really sucked having to back out last year (9/11 related), and I'm hoping there will be no conflicts with either the military or the NMRA this year.
