My stock rear measured 64.75 axle to axle and 59.5 housing to housing. New s60 measured 60.5 axle to axle and 55.5 housing end to end. That's what threw me off like it was only narrowed 2" per side.
The aluminum piece in the column is just a piece of aluminum sheet metal. Drill hole and cut to size. It just slips right in.

Damn, what tire?
What all has to be done to fit that combo under the car?

The tire is a 28-10.5- 15 Hoosier slick. We have QTP's also. Can't remember off hand the size but they are exactly the same size as the slicks. Just called something different because their DOT. The Wheel is a 10-15 with 5.5" Back Space. All that had to be done was to cut out that half moon with the bump stops and roll marks. I used a plasma cutter. But you could use a cutting wheel or torch. Then took a piece of cardboard and cut out a template of the flat piece to be made. You will need to drill a hole in the plate to access the upper shock mount. Then weld it back in place. Right there alone you will gain about a inch and a half. You have to use offset lower control arms to clear the tires. I'm sure Midwest chassis has them. And you also have to use coil overs. The only other thing that needs to be done is trim the fender flange. I used a flap wheel on a angle grinder. I believe it was about an inch wide. And I sanded it down to about a quarter inch. I left a little for rigidity. Its still nice and solid. And that's it. It really was a piece of cake.

Similar to what TTur1996 said, some trimming and hammering of the inside wheel well, off set lca, etc. just going to run the 275 pro, went with a 12" wide rim just to stretch it a little, give a little more tread contact.

It's going to take more than trimming and hammering, to fit a 12" rim.
The 275 Pro is already stretched on a 10" rim.
Keep us posted on the install, very interested.

There's actualy many people who have done it on here with factory tubs. Do a search for ls1queen, she did 325 mt on a 12 rim stock tub.

People that use a 12" rim, narrows the rear more than 3" per side. Around
5 1/2" per side and use around 3 1/2" bs.
Yours being 3" narrow and 6.5 bs, I don't think it's going to fit without mini tubbing and and relocating some of the suspension.

Surprised there's not more input with all the people with narrowed rears on here.

im running a 3'' narrowed mwc fab 9 with a 15x10/4.5 bs. It could actually use 4'' back spacing as it sits now the rear wheels stick in to far for my liking.

If both of our rear ends are the same measurement and it sounds like the are. Those rims you got just may work, but it will be close. I took some pictures of ours. You can see there is more room to the inside that you can go. And using 12 " rims the side walls will not be pooched out like ours. And unless you like your tires sticking out from under you fenders. That is what 5.5 BS looks like. Then you don't have the Rear of your car sticking up in the air. Now I don't know about any other rear end but this is a Strange S60. Now I do know that you have to pay attention to the brake calipers. The Strange calipers fit but the Wilwood's would not.

^^^^wow thanks for your effort! I test fitted the rearend and rims last night, prob going to send it back. With a string hanging off the qtr panel, the rim touched it on both sides.....

I wonder what your axle flange to flange is? I'm running strange brakes so no problems there. You did a great job on clearancing the stock wheel tubs, plenty of room on the inside.

Okay I measured it axle flange to axle flange and, yes its 60.5". So that's probably why its that size. We ordered ours straight from Strange. They were the ones that said they couldn't make it any narrower. Can't remember the reason but I'm sure if you call them, they will be happy to tell you. So you can see where 5.5bs on 15-10's will put you. The only other spot that had to be moved was the front inner at the bottom. We had to notch behind the inner fender and BFH it back and rewelded it.

Thank you very much for checking, I'm going to mount the tires to double check.

I'm not completely sold they can't narrow it any more, there 1.5"+ between the control arm bracket and the weld of housing end.

Either way have a Blessed Christmas Man!!!

I think you will be happy with a 10" rim and 275 Pros.
Get the rim you want with a 5.0 bs and make it work.
