I'm a big fan of full exhaust with an electric cutout. Nothing funnier than ripping the doors off off of Joe Dirts loud turd only to come down the return lane with the cutout closed purring like a kitten.

I think that I will ditch the cut-out and run 4 inch over the axle and Y out two tail pipes since I have a TA. If I had a Camaro I'd would do a single 4 inch over the axle and hidden tail pipe. Yes it's more weight but you're getting the exhaust out from the bottom of the car which make for a quieter street car. If it's a race car then I'd would just dump it.

Depends on your power your at to be honest, but in my opinion there is no better sound than a single 4" with a spin tech muffler on our motors. I have ran 2 1/2" true duals with an x pipe and dyno max mufflers dumped befor the axle (which I liked). Current camaro has true duals with a y pipe over the axle and while it sounds "ok" it is not ideal for me. Feel free to search my user name on YouTube for sounds of the true duals dumped. Know that an x pipe will quiet your exhaust down compared to an h pipe.....lots of options and tons of opinions. I would spend some time at the track listening to some cars and asking what power they make. Might help you narrow your decision and not regret any future set up.

By the time some guys get done screwing around and throwing time and money into different cutouts, different mufflers, different merges, etc., they would probably be ahead just going directly to the Kooks setup and be done with it. You'll never need to touch it or have the need for another system. Only argument I could see for some would be the additional weight of a full length dual setup.

It's the weight. The only reason I haven't done the kooks duals.
