Default T56 e brake delete?

I'm considering deleting the e brake since it's useless for emergencys anyway but I'm more concerned I'll miss it for parking. I never really park on un-level road but just wondering if those of you that did regretted it.

I swapped to a Moser 9" when my car was still 6 speed and it had the e-brake components deleted on the rear end, so I was forced to have no e-brake. It was pretty challenging at times. For example, the most trouble it would give me was if I wanted to leave the car running for whatever reason and leave the car and go grab something. Or some scenario like that. The only way you have to keep the car still is to leave it in gear, which you obviously can't do while it is running. Now that I have swapped the car to an auto, I have park, so it is not longer an issue.

I have a T56 without e-brake due to spooled rear. It takes getting used to but I can lock the steering wheel to any side and the spool will keep it in place. So I kind of have a parking brake lol

Still though, I keep a pair of cheap plastic wheel chocks in the car. Also, I've gone manual tandem master cylinder so I will always have something to brake. I also check my brake fluid level before every drive.

There is no reason to ditch a working handbrake! The only heavy part of the system is the lever assembly which can be lightened or swapped for a lighter aluminum version.

I defintiely wouldn't delete it if you could keep it, IMO.

My brake doesn't really hold the car, and it becomes a big PITA. For instance, my driveway has a bit of an incline, and this morning I had to sit in the car and wait for it to warmup with my foot on the brake. That, and somehow if you put the car in gear and it pops out, what do you have to possibly save it?

I just had to remove mine and I was worried about the same stuff. I ended up using a swagelock valve and plumbed it in. I just push the brake pedal enough to hold the car and turn the valve and it holds.

3 or 4 channel setup? I might copy your setup.

No ABS, I just had it plumbed into the brake line the runs to the rear. The valve is a 1/4" swagelok multipurpose ball valve. I don't have the part number I used but you'll also need 2, 1/4"-3/16" reducer fittings, part number SS-300-R-4. Here's a couple pics of the valve and fittings.
