At Montgomery yesterday.... Picture this!!!
I guess protecting a fragile ego was more important than having a little fun.
I wonder if the 4th gen car was just making exibition passes.
Some possible reasons for not staging as requested by track officials:
a) You consider it not safe. I refused to run an Altered car with my bike after I saw him get sideways twice. Back then, they would run bikes and cars together.
b) You want to "grudge" race someone else. I've done this.
c) Something is funky about your car/bike and need a couple of minutes to get set. Done that.
d) That lane sucks, and you consider it dangerous. I've personally never done that, but I've seen others.
e) You are a ***** and don't want to get seen being beat. Never.
To be honest, I don't think I've seen #e but one or two times ever. Seems to be rare.
Is that what you think happened?
Tony
I don't mind pulling beside anyone. If I get beatin by half the track, so what? It makes no difference to me whatsoever. I'm there for my own reasons. To dial my car in, have a good time hanging out with cool folks (like Kristi ), and try to run a better time than the last time I was there. Never once have I declined a race for fear of getting embarrased. How silly.
Don't you have something better to do? You're not bothering me Joe. Entertaining me, yes. LOL! I've NEVER seen someone get so hung up on someone for no reason before.
BTW, my best pass yesterday was my first one. A 9.95. Not exactly what I was looking for but I'll take it considering the conditions.

I'm wondering the same thing here. Is Joe really that bored that he feels he has to be a wise-*** and start "attention-*****" threads about other people all of the time? If I hadn't met Joe in person or never knew his age, I'd swear he was in his teens still.

...Or the driver of the black camaro had neither his helmet or five point harness secured yet. I pulled through the staging lanes not expecting to be immediately ussured to the line.

If you next in line in the staging lanes, your supposed to be ready to pull in the box. Watch how the REAL racers do it. LOL

Hey Joe, were there any annonymous green Formulas in attendance that would have lined up with that black 4th gen for some cash? Or maybe they knew they were outclassed perhaps? A list of excuses would be acceptable here.
Tony

Oh but Tony!!!! I think the driver of said black Camaro has stated that he does not do it for the money. Therefore the green Formula could not make a bet but I'm sure the green Formula would have pulled to the line baside him and raced.
You know what's really funny???? I keep Stevie and Tony really busy keeping air from being let out of there own balloons. You guys crack me up.

Tim, FYI, there was no "up next." There was no line. It was between the bracket race rounds. I pulled into the empty staging lanes from the pits not knowing that I wouldn't even get a chance to stop. Guess you woulda had to been there to see what I'm talking about. Normally I put on my helmet and buckle the harness while waiting in the staging lanes. This time there was no wait.

Ah I see.

Ahhh, the "Legend in his own mind" syndrome I see. Joe, what great being appointed you the universal internet moderator, brought to this cyber-world to keep people in line? And, was creating attention-***** threads part of your terms and conditions from whoever appointed you? I'll bet you volunteered your smartass wit without negotiating a higher return for it.
Besides, what do your list of accomplishments on these message boards gain for you? I've not seen any LS1 accomplishments from your corner, or are you still polishing that has-been NHRA trophy you own from decades past? What makes you think people on message boards will follow your example of trying to ridicule those of us that actually help people out?
Joe's internet accomplishments:
-Accusing anyone that is fast of using nitrous.
-Swearing that NineBall had to be spraying to run 11s on motor with only heads/cam in a 6-speed
-Attempting to discredit faster cars because of lighter raceweight. "Cup is half empty" personality
-Ragging on people that actually have money to spend as they damn well please on a hobby they love. Just a hypocrite, one of your best friends that you like to reference is Judson, who probably has deeper pockets than us all.
-Ragging on people that get "hook ups" from various shops, and whine when they try to promote the shops that are taking care of them.
Ahhh, just like old times huh? I'm sure I can think of some more obvious "accomplishments" you have provided to the internet community.
