Last Monday was the Pontiac High Performance Magazine Shoot Out here in Dallas at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. There were about 25 Pontiacs of all body styles and years with 5 of those being 4th Gen F Bodies. The first 2 passes were motor passes and nothing spectacular then we turned on the bottle. The first bottle pass the WOT swith didn't engage, the second pass was ok, 10.606@127.08 on a 1.552 60ft. The 3rd pass was amazing, everything finally came together and the car went 10.08@136.7 on a spinning 1.563 60ft. I was hoping to see a 10.3 in the heat but 10.08 was better than I had expected although the numbers were right inline with the 1/8th mile times we ran the previous Friday night. My goal is to get thrown off the track for running 9's without the chasis cert which we are working on getting completed.
