Who are y'all using for a carb..I had a quickfuel 850 that took my 97 365 ci camaro to low 5s..I bought a dale cubic carb in hopes of picking up some power..the new carb did pick up 8 rwhp but will not get on the 2 step..I've sent it back already and long story short I'm getting my money back.I cant make up my mind between braswell Bob book and pro systems..Who are you guys using..

Im surprised Dale didn't get you right...
Book is a great carb guy but I have no experience. Ive run both CFM and ProSystems.... The CFM was spec'ed through BES when my current engine was being built, I do remember Tony had a note on my dyne sheet that if I couldn't get up on the trans brake to change the jetting, don't remember up or down.

Another thing that just dawned on me.... another CFM customer that I know, had issues getting his car on the brake and not coughing fire... Ended being that the engine was not getting enough heat into it before making a pass...
Definitely make sure youre getting up to operating temp before trying to load the engine
