He is doing a cage right now actually, we took a break from wrenching and went to the track even though the barometer was like 29.5 or something.

Did you have to do any mods to get thoses tires not to rub? I run 26" tires but was thinking of going to 27" or a 28". Or should I stick with what I got? The new MT stcky radial is a 25". Tall or short thats the question.I out weigh your car by about 1000 .lbs Can't amagine my car 1000 punds lighter.I might have to by another LS1 and strip the hell out of it

28x9x15 ET Drag is really a 27.x tire.

I ran them at NFRA 2001 and did not have to cut anything...

I ran the same tire PSJ is talking about last night. The tire is only 27.3". I have no clearance issues at all, doesn't rub on any part of the fender.

Yea, the car's a tank!

The tires did rub actually. On the passanger side in the back, the bottom of the fender cut into it when the tire ballooned up. I had to pound it in last time I was at the track. I'm not sure why it did this. Could be my loose V6 suspension in back.

2750 what's left of it?

Wow, if I ran my times at 3700, wonder what I would run with 950lbs less?? I'm down to 3600 and my goal is 3500, but I'll never see the light weights some of you have.

Congrats on the times!

yup i run the same tire. great tire, esp for something not so big as a 28" but more than a 26" tire. the width is just fine if you are looking for low 1.5 to high 1.4x 60' times IMO.
