Default Racestar New Beadlocks

Has anyone tried the new beadlocks that racestar has out on a 4th Gen F-Body? I was wondering how they fit? They call for a 7" backspace and 38mm offset( PT# number 92-597253 DP).

The standard 15x10 racestar pt# 92-510254 DP fit fine, but they are a 7.25 backspace with 46mm offset.

Any opinions?

Thanks,

Im interested as well since ive been waiting over a month for a set of standard rears from summit. I was gonna have them sent directly to champion for a single beadlock installed, but for a few hundred more I could just get these in a double beadlock.

The Racestar wheels are quite heavy to begin with and you want to add a set of bead locks?

Most people that actually need a bead lock wheel would go with a lighter wheel like a Weld Alumastar, RT-S, or Steet Lite and Comp5 from Billet.

I will almost guarantee that your car will slow down when you put those wheels on. If your purpose is looks, then so be it.

Maybe Prostock John will come in here and help answer the question. He is a Race Star dealer.

What Eric said. Heavy *****!! Be no purpose besides looks and IMO there is awesome looking wheels that are way lighter and beadlocked. But would be cool to see some.

I would imagine your correct. My thought is someone that needs a beadlock would be a pretty serious car.

I'd say any stick shift car running a slick in the bottom 11's or quicker will require rim screws or bead locks. Mine started slipping at around 13psi running 11.30's with a 1.6x 60 foot.

Auto cars can get away with running quicker without them because they don't shock the tires nearly as hard.

I glued mine and been good so far at 1.4x 60ft have this internal battle if I would look dumb with beadlocks going low 10s high 9s. Not that I care but you know.

I agree that racestars are really heavy wheels. Also, I have been 1.36 on glued Prostars. I am sure there have been those that have went even quicker than that even.

As far as I know race stars are right on par with weld RT-S weight wise.

I don't necessarily "need" beadlocks but I don't care for screws, so im going to settle and have an outer beadlock done.

Billet Specialties has the Street Lite wheel in f-body specific available with beadlocks. USA made(Chicago area), not China. Cost will be a bit moire sure, but the reduced weight and high quality is well worth it, not to mention supporting USA manufacturing.

If you're using tubes. SCREWS. You do NOT want them to accidentally rotate on the rim with tubes.
