I don't know. I did see a race between Jay Leno and comedian Tim Allen. Tim had a high 11 second Mustang and Jay was in his original AC Cobra. Jay blew him away by what looked like 15 car lengths. He raced him like three times, Tim lit the tires on 2 of the 3 but hooked pretty good on the 3rd. Jay had the street tires on too.

As much as I hate old Fords, the 65 super stock 7 liter Fairlanes with the 427 tunnel port were also very awesome. The tunnel port was an easy 550hp monster when tuned and the car was a stripper with fiberglass front components. The 64 T-bolts and 426 Max Wedge Mopars could also run neck to neck with anything out there in the 60's. Anything 65 Hemi was built for racing and was in the same league. To me the most underrated car from the 60's was the 68 super stock Amc AMX. A true 2 seater under 3k lbs and bigblock power. All of these cars are ultra rare and very $$$$ today.
