Default Launching w/ TP4400 and 3.73's?

I will be installing my TP4400 this weekend and was wondering what you guys with this converter and 3.73's are launching at? I will be on 26' ET Drags. I really don't like to launch off idle because of killing the 10-bolt I would rather bring up the rpm's to load the rear before launching.

Thanks

I launch at about 2500rpms. I only have around 10 passes w/ the 4400/3.73's. I was using a 4000E beforehand. Anyway, with an unprepped track and 9" Hoosiers with the 4400/3.73's launching at 2500 I would spin slightly off the line and still cut a 1.55 60' on the stock motor.

later,
Steve

I was in NYC.

My best results come from stalling it to about 2500. I have the 4000 stall. With the 4400, I would experiment within 2500 - 3000 range.

I don't worry about busting the rear, I have a Strange 12 bolt.

I used to have that combo. I found that launching at 2800 worked very well but launching lower than that didn't make much difference. It's not a picky converter. Just get it somewhere around there and she'll do the rest.

With that setup I actually got my best 60's bringing the rpm's up to 3500-3600 rpm.

Sorta makes you feel good when you come back to the staging lanes , and people ask you if you have a t-brake
