26" tire 3.73 rpm speeds
I just picked up a set of Mickey Thompson 26x10.5" tires for the LS1 and will be running them this season on a stock motor, 3.73 gear and Yank SS3600 stalled car.
I am curious to know what other guys with a similar setup are turning RPM wise.
- 3.73 gears
- Yank SS3600 stall
- 4L60E transmission
I know where I roughtly sit using a gear calculator, but that doesn't account for converter slip. I want to make sure I am not over revving the stock engine.
I am shooting for an 11 second pass, so I am thinking traps will be in the range of 115-118mph.
Just looking to see what other guys are turning rpm / mph wise through the traps with similar setups.

Unless you have a good bit of weight off of her and full bolt ons I don't see those mphs being achieved with just those 3 mods above so with that, is there anymore done to the car than just listed? Wish I could help my the trap rpm though, I haven't made it out yet with 3.70s and 26" tire.

Suspension: Qa1's, SFCs, chassies mount torque arm, aluminum D/S.
I think that covers it. Esentially a bolt on/ stalled / geared car.

I should of rephrased the 115-118. I would be very suprised if I hit 118, actually I doubt I'll trap higher than 115, but trying to leave some leeway for the fact that I won't be coming off the throttle right away if that makes sense...

With my LT1, 3.70 gears, and a 4L60 and a 3600 RevMax converter my car trapped at 103 right at 5600-5700 in third gear. I was limited since my car was untuned, so I was working with the stock rev limiter. I know the LS1 rev limiter is higher than the LT1, so I would think you'll be just fine with a 26" tire.

sweet, good to hear from more than one source.
I definitely do not want to be turning high 6k rpms right now. I'm not cammed and I don't have the valvetrain to support it. I'll float a valve for sure. Saving the higher revs for when I accomplish this goal first and then move on to cam only.
