Thanks guys, just curious as to what I have to shoot for <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I am trying to get in the 11.2 range but I am not sure if that is competitive or not.

Chris thats a hard question to answer.Alot of guys have 2.02/1.60 valves and those heads r considered S1 by MOST shops.Same goes for CR ratio too as MOST shops consider 10.3CR S1 too.

I know 98SS ran 11.20@118+ w/his 2.0/1.57 Valved/B1 Cammed SS.Thats pretty impressive.
I dont know wht CR ratio he has but I think he weighs around 335lbs.


I dont want people to get the wrong idea but IMO I had the one of the quickest TRUE S1 in the Country.STOCK GM valves,10.3CR w/3.73's,a TP4200,and a dinky little 218-527 Cam.The car consistantly went 11.40@118 which is pretty good if u ask me.
That was at a LIGHT WEIGHT though--->3390lbs.

I was referring to what most shops consider a Stage 1 head (2.02/1.57 valve)
JPR's gear is also S1 as well.

hmmm well it sounds like I need to beat 11.2 to be competitive. I dont think that is going to happen in my car without K-Member A-Arms etc and a big diet.
Will have to wait and see what the season brings <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
I am going to try and go as quick as I can with the cats on the car and then compare to no cats.
