I'll be there! I need to gain weight also, I guess I'll have a roll bar by then. Then I'll just fill up with gas. That should get me close. It's gonna be weird seeing my gas needle at full while I'm at a track.

Oh yeah, I'll be needing your forged steel neckbrace to go with that, Madman.

I would definately bring my truck and compete. And I could have some more "go-fast" goodies on there by then.

Sound killer. I can drive the brood (all the way from MN) to visit my family in New Orleans and do some racing.

Will a Wolf Race Craft 6 point, bolt in with swing out bar, be allowed for a roll bar? Will I have to get it welded up and replace the swing out to something else to make it legal? If not what will I need to do to make it legal? For what speeds?
I'm trying to get ready for this race it will be my first showing and I don't want to be left out because I forgot to work out a detail.

The swingout bar is NHRA legal. The bolt in bar is also legal. I recommend welding it but it is fine to 10.00 as is.

Well that's really good news! I thought that the main hoop had to be welded.

WE will be there with a few cars, not sure what classes we will be in though, sounds like its getting better and better. Where are the final rules to be found? what possible changes if any are being looked at as we(everyone) are getting the cars prepared now and a drastic rule change can make a big diff. to some cars.

Thanks,

We are finishing up the web site for the race and I hope to have it up and running after this weekend. It will have all of the info on there.

I am interested in getting more information on this too, to see what all needs to be done to the car by then. I hope by then the weight requirement will decerease some, my car from the factory didn't weigh 3500lbs.

We are talking race weights WITH the driver right? How are your folks cars so light? I have to pull my seats, sway bar, jack and spare, some interior panels and run welds and skinnies just to get my car down barely below 3500. I guess my 230 fat *** doesnt help matters

Yah you and me both. Some of the people do have their cars stripped down pretty well.
