Default Mickey A. Launch Picture - for the M6 guys!

This is Mickey's launch on his 10.98 ET all-motor pass. ("MIC5EY" on this site)

Mickey, what suspension mods do you have on the car? That sucker launches perfectly flat like they are supposed to. Very nice picture bud!

Thanks for the info Mickey, now for some more questions:

1. I am getting HAL shocks (front and rear) soon and have no idea what to adjust each shock to. Have you played around with that much? Asking A4 guys probably wouldn't give me as accurate a starting point.

2. The HALs I am getting do not have the HAL front springs. Do you recommend them on a daily-driver, or should I just modify the spring perches to fit the stock front springs?

Oh yeah, I also use 20psi in my RR airbag, and the car does leave flat. I just need a picture.

Tony, the rt. side air bag at about 20lbs is whats keeping the car from twisting on the launch. Hals front and rear, Spohn torque arm, adj. lower control arms and relocating brackets, plus an adj. panhard rod are the suspension mods.No front sway bar, and no sub frame connectors. Stock rear sway bar. My roof and cage take care of the flex issue. Looking at those heavy front lower A arms hanging down in the picture, I'd like to replace them with some lightweight chrome moly ones. I've got tons of weight to take off the front end. I still have AC, power steering, air pump, etc. under the hood.I just bought some new 10" Hoosiers to go on my new lightweight wheels ( Chris' Bogerts }. I'm looking to put my M6 into the 1.4x range.

Tony, I just started with the settings the other a4 guys used and haven't changed more than a couple clicks either way. Between 0 and 2 on the fronts, 4 driver rear, and 5 pass rear.

For me, the Hal front springs are way to sloppy for the street where I live.

Tony reuse the stock springs. I only have the front Hals and keep them on #6 both on the street and @ the track. If I run them lower than #6 the front end hops up and down all the way down the track. I leave my airbag @ 22 lbs and I can cut 1.62-1.60 60's all day everyday.

I need to get the rear shocks so I can get in the 1.5X range and shoot for some 11.3X's.

Thanks for the info Richie and Mickey, I definitely do not want any mushy ride or hopping down the track. I'll leave the hopping to El Es Juan!

Stock front springs it is!

LEO, my first ls1 was a C5 and I signed up on boards that way. I used capitol letters because that is my license plate on my C5. I never bothered changing because I still have a ZO6 , still with that plate.
People also ask me about AFEW50S on my Z28. That plate was last on my fishing truck and refers to the many Striped Bass over 50 lbs I've caught, not the amount of 5.0 Mustangs I've wiped out with the Z28.
Colonel, Tom, I think all those pictures of our cars are great. I really like looking at that page that Onyx put up .
