Default Do I have enough tire?

I'm making 523/487 with a T56 approximately 3300lb car. With the stock bottom end the car cut 1.51's and went 10.92 at 126 but it made almost 100 less torque leaving at 6500 off a 2 step. Tires are a 27 x 11.5 x 15 Hoosier QTP. Same set up as before just added the iron block but I've removed 100lbs or so along with it. Should the QTP's hold the 408? On the street I run a 315 drag radial and I get zero traction above 4k rpm. I'm worried I won't have enough tire.

I think you will be able to! Probably will take some different shock settings and also with your new found power won need to launch it as high.

Depends on track prep. Loosen up the front shocks a click.

Should hold with a suspension tune. Find your instant center.

Be less concerned with tire and more about suspension settings...

you will def need to tune the suspension now to get the car to 60' and track prep is very important. If the track is off it might fool you in making unnecessary changes that you blame the car on. I just went from a 6.0 to a 6.2 stroked 427.

My new pb about 2 weeks ago was
1/8 6.8162 @102.55 1.53 60' n/a with a bunch of adjusting things.
I thought I had some left in but needed different tires, different suspension, upper relocate kit, maybe relocate lower arms, maybe mini tubbing and coil overs, talked to Mickey Thompson about tires at length, chassis builder for mini tubbing etc etc. My buddy says hey how about just a different track first. I'm like yeah sure why not. Unload car and thinking just to make a nice warm up pass with not much burn out.
well went 6.566 @ 103.23 1.437 60' 10.379 @ 128.49 on what I thought where shot tires. I guess before making changes, just make sure track is well prepped.
staged for a second hard pass, Bingo and then a rain drop lol.
